Description

The EMS-215 is a compact yet powerful active dual 15" low frequency enclosure designed to complement the full range products in the EMS series. The quasi-bandpass vented enclosure provides excellent transient response and low frequency reproduction without the aid of corrective equalisation. Ergonomic handle placement and enclosure balancing make the EMS-215 quick and easy for one person to move.

Simple and elegant

The EMS-215 is an active enclosure and requires a low-pass active crossover. The enclosure comes complete with three pole mount fittings allowing for easy combination with the full range boxes in the EMS series.

Construction

The CNC-machined enclosure is manufactured from 18mm multi-laminate Finnish birch ply, and contains two high-power 15" LF drivers each in their own vented chamber.

Standard features and rigging

Includes three 35mm pole mounts, two on the long face for mounting pairs of full range enclosures, and one on the top face for further flexibility. Flush routed handles are supplied top and bottom, and the EMS-215 comes complete with 4 Guitel castors for ease of movement. Connectivity is via dual Neutrik Speakon™ NL4 connectors (different connectivity available on request). The enclosure is finished in black semi-matt textured paint (colours optional) and the front is protected by a hex-punched steel grille backed with acoustically transparent black foam.  The EMS-215 will also accept the new DA-1 amplifier module.
