Description

The EMS-152 is the largest full range enclosure in the EMS Series. The design intent was to provide a powerful, medium-Q loudspeaker with predicable dispersion - and consequently the EMS-152 is at home is either single box applications or as coherent arrays.

Simple and elegant

The EMS-152 is a passive enclosure and requires no external control devices to function correctly. In keeping with our belief that passive enclosures do not have to be compromises, the unique crossover network frees the EMS-152 of the time-smearing typically encountered with passive designs.

Construction

The CNC-machined enclosure is constructed from 18mm (3/4") multi-laminate Finnish birch ply, and contains a high power 15" neodymium LF cone drive unit, and a 4" diaphragm, 2" exit neodymium HF compression driver on a 60°H x 40°V waveguide.

Standard features and rigging

Include 6 M10 integral rigging points for suspension (either via forged shoulder eyebolts or using the optional FB-152 flying bar or FC-152v flying cradle), flush handles and dual Neutrik Speakon™ NL4 connectors. The enclosure is finished in black semi-matt textured paint (colours optional) and the front is protected by an acoustic foam/expanded steel mesh grille.  The EMS-152 can also accept the DA-1 amplfier module.  Heavy duty padded transit covers and a touring wheelboard are also available for the EMS-152.
