Description
The EMS-115 is a compact yet powerful active single 15" low frequency enclosure designed to complement the smaller full range products in the EMS series - brought about by requests from our customers for a subwoofer with more power than an i-8, but less physical size than its bigger brother, the EMS-215. The quasi-bandpass vented enclosure provides excellent transient response and low frequency reproduction without the aid of corrective equalisation. Ergonomic handle placement and enclosure balancing make the EMS-115 quick and easy for one person to move. Simple and elegantThe EMS-115 is an active enclosure and requires a low-pass active crossover. The enclosure comes complete with a single pole mount fitting, allowing for easy combination with the smaller full range boxes in the EMS series. LF extension has been deliberately reduced to help with low frequency noise transmission issues in many of today's installation projects. ConstructionThe CNC-machined enclosure is manufactured from 18mm multi-laminate Finnish birch ply, and contains a single high-power 15" LF driver in a vented chamber. Standard features and riggingInclude one 35mm pole mount, fixing points for optional castors, and flush routed handles are supplied on the sides. Four non-slip rubber feet are mounted on the bottom, and recesses for stacking are provided on the top. Connectivity is via dual Neutrik Speakon™ NL4 connectors (different connectivity available on request), which are situated on an angled panel at the rear of the enclosure. This hidden panel keeps the connectors and cables hidden, allowing the EMS-115 to be situated directly against a wall for installations. The enclosure is finished in black semi-matt textured paint (colours optional) and the front is protected by a hex-punched steel grille backed with acoustically transparent black foam. |
