Major UK rental company, Delta Sound, has recently taken delivery of thirty-two EMS-122w loudspeakers from EM Acoustics for core rental stock. The EMS-122w is a wide dispersion, high quality passive 12” enclosure designed for applications which require a compact, powerful, full range loudspeaker.

 Delta Sound operations director, Jon Bell, explained his choice. “We needed to source thirty-two high quality 12” loudspeakers and flying frames within a very short lead time for a specific rental project. The speakers and amplifiers needed to be installed and working within a month and would remain in situ for another 9 months working six days per week for twelve hours a day during that period. Obviously the bar was set pretty high from the outset, so we needed to know that whatever we invested in would be 100% reliable, and that we could count on the manufacturer to deliver on time.”

 “EM Acoustics turned out to be a natural choice for us,” continued Jon. “We have known the guys at EM for many years and have been using their products with great success in several installations. Once the opportunity arose in the form of this project to purchase a complete system, we took it. EM manufactured and delivered all the speakers within two weeks. Building the flightcases alone took longer than that! We’re using Full Fat Audio FFA-6004 four-channel amplifiers to drive the EMS-122w’s which we purchased off the shelf and work faultlessly with the EM enclosures. It’s an excellent combination. Once the boxes have come off the current hire, they’ll make an excellent addition to our day-to-day inventory.”

 According to EM Acoustics operations director, Mike Wheeler, the purchase is validation of where EM Acoustics stands today. “Five years ago, it would have been unthinkable that a company like Delta would invest in products from EM Acoustics. Today, it’s no longer the case. They know they can rely on the products to do the job and on us as the manufacturer to deliver on time and support them to the hilt. We have achieved a lot of milestones in the last twelve months – and the investment in our products by a major rental company such as Delta Sound is one of them – and we are set to announce further significant company developments in the very near future.
